Stainless Steel 17Cr-4Ni is a Martensitic stainless with high strength, corrosion resistance and hardness obtained by low temperature heat treatment. It contains slightly higher chromium content than other Martensitic grades. Distortion and scaling are minimized. Buying this product in the age-hardened condition also saves the time and additional expense of sending parts out for heat treatment.
