Carbon A516 (ASTM A516, ASME SA 516) is a pressure vessel quality (PVQ) steel plate conforming to ASTM A516-70. When normalized above 1-1/2¿ thick, it has improved impact toughness. A516 plate is one of the strongest and most versatile PVQ plates commercially available.
